Homosexuality and the Bible

Now that we have seen that Homosexuality is defined as a sexual desire for members of the same sex, we can move on a little. We need to note that homosexuality is NOT one of the paraphilias. The paraphilias are dysfunctional problems within a person, normally sexual but homosexuality is not a dysfunction, it turns up in every generation at around the same 3-5% of the population (although the figure is reported by some to be as high as 10% ( Gallup , Kinsey ). Unlike the paraphilias homosexuality does not normally make it difficult for a person to live a normal, engaged human life. In the next blog I want to start looking at what the Bible says or does not say about homosexuality including whether it actually addresses what we understand the term 'homosexual' to mean at all.
